About the course

“This course is designed for those with a French level of around B1 or A Level who wish to put their skills to the test by attempting to translate, each week, a carefully chosen piece of French literature into English. The translations will be marked, and common translational errors will be considered and discussed in class. Alongside improving one’s knowledge of the French language, this course will serve as an introduction to several new writers of French literature, as well as the subtle art of translation.”

 – Adam Husain, Course Teacher
